Experience:

• Armel is responsible for SMME Financing Subsidiary with a primary focus on SMME Financing and Enterprise Development
• Lead in the establishment and management of the Tysys SMME Development & Financing Micro-Finance and SMME Debt Book
• Lead in the establishment and management of the Harmony ESDA Programme

Relevant Transaction Experience:

Sasol: Responsible for the provision of financial support to SMMEs in the I AM PRENEURS programme requiring seed capital funding.

Exxaro Resources Limited: Instrumental in the establishment of the R300million Exxaro fund focusing on SMMEs that have contracts from Exxaro and management of the provision of ESD Grants and Loans to SMMEs with Exxaro contracts, in addition to providing SMME Screening Services

Harmony Mining: Instrumental in the establishment and implementation of an SMME Enterprise and Supplier Development Accelerator Programme (“ESDA Programme”) for the mining communities in Carletonville and Kraaipan.

Tysys SMME Development and Financing (Pty) Ltd: Led the establishment and management of the SMME micro financing business.

GPF EEPF: Instrumental in the establishment of the Affordable Housing Fund
